From digital design to tangible art.
1. Custom Molds
Each design begins as a digital model, which guides the creation of our custom, hand-welded steel molds that give every pumpkin its unique geometric form.
2. Molten Glass
Our artisans expertly gather molten glass, introducing colors and materials like aventurine, before blowing it into the custom mold with precision and care.
3. Finishing
After cooling in an annealer for strength, each piece is hand-finished and inspected, ensuring a flawless work of art ready to capture the light in your home.

Why Platonic Pumpkins?
At its core, this project is an unabashed celebration of geometric forms. It stems from the deep satisfaction found in the perfect symmetry of a dodecahedron, blended with the cozy, familiar warmth of the fall harvest season. It's a tribute to pure form, presented with a seasonal twist.
These are cool. Can I get them in a non-pumpkin form?
Yes! While the pumpkin form is our signature at Archimedean Harvest, the world of geometric glass art is vast. For examples of other works and to discuss a custom geometric piece, please send a DM to @notscottsatkin on Instagram.
Can I buy the exact pumpkin I create in the Design Studio?
The Design Studio is an interactive tool for inspiration and to help visualize possibilities! Due to the complexities of glass blowing, not every digital combination is perfectly achievable. However, it serves as an excellent starting point for a custom commission. Use the "Request a Commission" button, and we can discuss how to bring your unique design to life.
How does the commission process work?
It's a collaborative process!
1. You send an inquiry, ideally with ideas from the Design Studio.
2. We'll connect via email to discuss the design's feasibility, colors, size, and provide a final quote.
3. Once confirmed, we'll handcraft your piece.
4. We'll arrange for final payment and delivery.
Where are these made and sourced?
We're proud to support local Bay Area non-profits and suppliers:
- All glassblowing is done at BAGI (Bay Area Glass Institute) in San Jose.
- Custom steel molds are cut and welded at MakerNexus in Sunnyvale.
- Metal is sourced from Industrial Metal Supply in San Jose.
- Glass color comes from East Bay Color in Richmond.
